Message	The tapping is correlated but isn't synchronous with engine speed, which leads me to think it's not an internal engine component. It's possible your timing belt is smacking the inside of the covers. I'd also double/triple check the VTC springs and intake cam sprockets. The wheels on the bus go up and down...
